Penn Township Fire Department installs On-Scene Xplorer
For Immediate Release:
Penn Township Fire Department in Hanover, PA installs On-Scene Xplorer in the department’s apparatus.
“When it’s dark outside, finding an address can be difficult at times”, said Geoff Miller, Fire Fighter with the department, “but using the GPS tracking gives us an accurate read on our location relative to the call. Plus with several drivers from outside the area, OSX (On-Scene Xplorer) has been invaluable locating address when seconds count.”
“Since Penn Township is close to an adjacent county and a state boundary, their installation included data not only for York County, but also for Adams County, PA and Carroll County, MD” said John Fix, president of Iron Compass. “Now, no matter where the call is, they have the information to get them to the call.”
